“Sarah is amazing, super sweet and easy to work with. we absolutely loved our family portraits from last summer. The dedication to her clients and her work was inspiring. We look forward to working with her again, once my baby arrives for some newborn and family refreshers! we recommend Sarah 100%, she will not disappoint."

"This is the second time we’ve used Ezer Photographer / Sarah for our newborn photos and we are just as in love with their extraordinary talent! She captures your baby’s most cutest moment and she is a Mama herself so your baby is made feel so comfortable - and so are you! Highly recommend Sarah. If I could give 1000 stars, I would!"

"Highly recommend Sarah and Ezer Photography! Her photography is beautiful but so is Sarah! Such a great person to work with! She’s done our family photos with our son and now helped us welcome our daughter into our family with beautiful pictures! Sarah was very attentive and was so easy to work with to make our vision come to life. She was so calm and patient as our son ran around and the dog checked out what she was doing :D She was easy to work with and contact and gave us great options. I also want to add that Sarah was not at all judgmental on some of the editing we wanted to do and was super supportive! Our family felt so comfortable with her and have had excellent experiences with her"

Bump & Beyond Sessions

When to Photograph

Newborn sessions are recommended to be done between 4-10 days old, but can be done up until the baby is 6 weeks old. The reasoning behind this time frame is that your new little one is still in that sleepy, easy to pose stage. Ezer Photography strongly recommends that families come first and photos come second. This means your priority should be becoming as settled as possible in your new routine at home, resting as much as possible and allowing mom's milk to fully come in. Fully fed babies are more content, relaxed and sleep more! This equals a smooth blissful photo session. I can get a great session with your baby at anytime during that timeframe, so do not feel rushed or stressed about getting them done as soon as your baby is born.

Prior to our time together

Giving your baby a nice long feed just before you leave for the studio is a great idea, as this ensures they have a nice full belly. Also, baby should be fed as much as possible in the 12 hours prior to our session together. This will allow for baby to sleep as deeply and as long as possible.

If nursing, try to avoid eating anything spicy for 24 hours preceding your scheduled session. This helps prevent your newborn from experiencing an upset tummy. If baby happens to be gassy the day of your session, Oval or Gripe Water can be used to help ease baby’s discomfort.

Try to interact with and keep your newborn awake for 1-2 hours (if possible) before your session to ensure he/she is good and sleepy for our time together.

What should we wear?

The area where we will be shooting should kept at a warm temperature as to mimic the temperature of the womb for your newborn. For moms and dads who will be inside the studio, I recommend dressing in layers. If you will be getting some parent shots done you may even want to prepare to have a change of comfy clothes for yourself for afterwards. This will allow you to be as comfortable as possible throughout the shoot. For parent or sibling shots please wear clothing with no logos, sayings or obvious characters on them and no hats.

Dress baby in loose fitting clothes to avoid any lines on baby’s skin and to also avoid disturbing baby when getting undressed. A simple sleeper is best. Please avoid onesies or anything that has to be pulled off over baby’s head.

*Your newborn will be photographed in wraps and outfits we provide and his/her birthday suit for the majority of the session

Things to have on hand

If your baby is a sucker and you allow them to have a pacifier bring it! they can be very helpful during the session. As well feel free to bring snacks, water or drinks to make your session more comfortable. When packing your diaper bag make sure to have lots of wet wipes, diapers, lotion (for dry skin) and Oval or Gripe Water (if your newborn is gassy).

During our time together

Sit back and relax :) I won’t need much assistance, but when I do I will ask. Please take advantage of this time to rest in my studio (I’m sure you need it!). Parents will often watch the shoot, shut their eyes, answer emails or read while I work my magic.

My motto is always safety first and will only do poses that the baby is comfortable doing. I am open to requests for certain poses but no pose is guaranteed in every session. Every shoot is different because every baby is different.
